No stupid questions. Well, a few.
We are choosing not to name names.

Head to the booking page, or download our app and pick your studio — Lytchett Matravers or Blandford Forum — and choose your class. If you're new, start with a Build Class (Suitable for Rookies) and grab our intro offer of 2 classes for £35. One thing worth double checking, make sure you're booking for the right location as we can't offer refunds for incorrect location bookings.

We don't, and here's the honest reason why. Vagabond Pilates uses top of the range Merrithew equipment and all of our instructors are fully qualified to the highest standard. We're not a pop-up studio cutting corners to get bodies through the door. What we do offer is our intro deal of 2 classes for £35, low commitment, no risk, and enough to know whether we're your kind of place. We think you will be.

Yes and it's one of the things we do really well at Vagabond. The low impact nature of Pilates makes it ideal for rebuilding strength, improving mobility and supporting recovery without putting unnecessary stress on the body. We work regularly with clients who have been referred by physiotherapists, chiropractors and osteopaths, and our Clinical Pilates programme at Blandford is specifically designed for rehabilitation and recovery. If you're coming back from injury or managing a chronic condition, get in touch before you book and we'll make sure you're in the right class with the right instructor.

Yes, and we'd love to have you. Pilates is brilliant for pregnancy, it supports your changing body, helps with back and pelvic pain, and there is a growing body of evidence that suggests it can even contribute to a shorter labour. That said, we do have some guidelines. In the first trimester you are welcome to join our regular group classes. From 12 weeks onwards we run specific prenatal sessions with the modifications and attention you need at that stage. Get in touch and we will talk you through the right option for where you are in your pregnancy. Our postnatal clients are equally welcome. Just let us know where you are at and we will take it from there.

Yes we do. Our 1:1 sessions are perfect if you want to get started with one to one attention before joining a group class, are coming back from injury, or simply prefer a more personalised approach. We also offer 2:1 sessions if you want to bring a friend. Get in touch via the contact page and we will sort something that works for you and your schedule.
-
Simple. If you have never done Pilates before, or never done it with us, you start with a Build labelled “Suitable for Rookies”. From there you progress to a regular Build, then Collective, then Mastery. Not sure where you sit? Just get in touch and we will point you in the right direction. We would always rather you start somewhere comfortable and move up than throw you in at the deep end.

A membership auto renews every 4 weeks and is designed for people who want to show up consistently. You get priority booking 7 days ahead of the timetable opening, which means you are far less likely to miss out on your favourite class. Memberships require a minimum of 12 weeks and 30 days notice to cancel.
A class pack is a one off purchase with no auto renewal and no long term commitment. You buy a block of classes and use them within 6 months. Perfect if your schedule is unpredictable or you are not quite ready to commit to a regular slot.
Not sure which is right for you? Start with a pack and upgrade to a membership when Vagabond becomes a non negotiable part of your week. It happens to most people.

Yes both studios have ample free parking right on the doorstep. One less thing to worry about.

Not many. Wear grip socks (you can buy them in the studio if you forget), turn up on time, and don't be a dick to others or yourself. That's pretty much it. We are a welcoming, no judgement studio and we expect everyone to treat each other accordingly. The rest you will figure out as you go

Life happens and we get it. If you need to cancel, just do it with more than 36 hours notice and your class credit goes straight back to you, no questions asked.
Cancel within 36 hours and we will do our best but cannot guarantee your credit will be returned. Cancel within an hour of your class or simply not show up and a £5 cancellation fee will be applied. This is not us being difficult a late cancellation prevents us from offering your spot to someone on the waitlist who genuinely wanted to be there.
Be kind to your fellow Vagabonds and give us as much notice as you can.

Both studios offer the same high quality equipment and the same standard of instruction. The main difference is location and what is on offer.
Lytchett Matravers is our original studio, slightly smaller and home to our reformer and mat programme with a full weekly timetable.
Blandford Forum is our larger studio with 2 additional reformers and the full Pilates apparatus: tower, chair, barrels and cadillac. It is also home to our Clinical Pilates programme, making it the go to location if you are coming for rehabilitation or want to explore everything Pilates has to offer.
Not sure which one suits you best? Just get in touch and we will help you decide.

Honestly? That depends on what you mean by results.
Pilates is not a fad workout designed to burn maximum calories or build bulk. It is not that kind of thing and we will never pretend it is. What Pilates does is balance the body, build connection between your mind and your movement, and help you discover what your body is actually capable of and we celebrate that.
Most clients notice something within the first few sessions. Better posture. Less back pain. Moving through the day with more ease. Sleeping better. Feeling stronger in ways they did not expect. Finding their other sports a little easier.
The bigger picture though is longevity. As we get older we all want to be active, mobile and enjoying life not sidelined by chronic pain or injury. Pilates will not prevent everything, but it can help you optimise what you have got and keep you doing the things you love for longer.
That is the result we are really after. And in our experience, once people feel it, they never look back
