Our Blandford studio is our bigger space and our most fully equipped. Tower, chair, barrels, cadillac and reformer, plus a dedicated Clinical Pilates programme for those coming back from injury or referred by a healthcare professional.

We are based next door to R Lukins & the Forge and we are not ashamed to say that some of the strongest, fittest people we know walk through our door and find Pilates absolutely humbling. If you are an athlete looking to move better, recover faster and find the gaps in your training, this is where you find them.

Whether you are completely new to Pilates, returning after a break, managing something that hurts, or just want an hour that is entirely yours, there is a class here for you. Our instructors are STOTT trained & certified, our equipment is industry leading, and our approach is exactly the same as it has always been. Real coaching for real people, without the nonsense.

Proudly based in Pimperne and welcoming clients from Blandford Forum, Poole, Wimborne, Wareham and across Dorset.

A person with blonde hair wearing a white T-shirt with an orange graphic of a dinosaur and the words "Vagabond Pilates" on it, holding or guiding a child's arm during a Pilates class in a gym with brick walls and gym equipment in the background.
Person lying on a Pilates reformer machine, legs raised and holding onto straps, in a brick-walled fitness studio with a mirror and exercise equipment.

Rookie or Build (Suitable for Rookies)

Your starting point. You will learn the fundamentals, get to grips with the reformer, and leave feeling like you have actually done something. No experience needed we got you.

Two women exercising on a Pilates reformer machine in a brick-walled fitness studio. One woman has blonde hair and is sitting on the reformer, holding onto the straps. The other woman has her hair tied up and is also using the reformer, focusing on her exercise. The room has warm lighting and mirrors reflected on the wall.

Build

You have done your Rookies. Now we get to work. Expect more repertoire, more challenge and more of those "I didn't know my body could do that" moments.

Woman sitting on a mat doing a seated stretch with her arm across her face in a fitness studio with brick walls and mirrors.

Collective

You know the reformer, you know the moves, now it gets interesting. Collective classes are for those who have built a solid foundation. Expect harder variations, faster transitions and a class that will make you work for it.

Collective x Strength

A Collective level class with a singular focus. Tim takes the full reformer repertoire and uses spring resistance and sequencing to build genuine strength and endurance. This is not a gentle session. Come ready to work. Collective level and above only. Lytchett only.

A woman is practicing yoga on a black mat inside a room with wooden wall paneling and a large mirror. She is sitting on a platform with one leg raised, holding her foot with one hand and her knee with the other. She is wearing a white long-sleeved shirt and black pants. The room has a window with sunlight streaming in.

Mastery

This is as good as it gets. Mastery classes are for experienced Pilates practitioners who want to be pushed to their absolute limit. Complex sequences, advanced variations and an instructor who will not let you get away with anything. You have worked for your place in this room.

Athletic (Tim’s Special)

Pilates turned up to 11. Fast paced, high energy and genuinely cardiovascular, Athletic Reformer takes the full reformer repertoire and pushes the tempo without ever losing the precision that makes Pilates what it is. Expect to sweat, expect your heart rate to climb, and expect to be reminded that Pilates and a proper workout are not mutually exclusive. Lytchett Matravers and Blandford.

Chair and Tower

A blended class combining two of the most classical pieces of Pilates apparatus — the tower and the Wunda Chair — just as Joseph Pilates intended. Deceptively brutal, endlessly challenging and unlike anything else on the timetable. Blandford only

Two women practicing Pilates on reformer machines in a brick-walled studio with a window, a small sign, and some decorations on the window sill.
A man performing a squat pose on a Pilates reformer machine in a fitness studio, with wooden wall panels and a sign that says 'PILATES' illuminated in the background. Exercise equipment is visible in the room.

Stretch

The reformer is one of the best tools in existence for a deep, supported stretch and this class uses it exactly for that. Expect long holds, serious release and that very specific feeling of your body finally letting go of everything it has been holding onto. All levels welcome. Lytchett only.

Roulette

You do not get to know what is coming. The instructor chooses the apparatus, the format and the challenge. It might be reformer, tower, chair, mat or all of the above. The only guarantee is that it will be good. Blandford only.
